Dorothy Sulock, Department
of Mathematics, is the founder and director of the 2004
Teaching Nonproliferation Summer Institute at the University of
North Carolina at Asheville. She also founded and directed the
2003 Nonproliferation Summer Institute at UNCA. She teaches mathematics
and statistics courses from Math Methods for Elementary School
Teachers to Calculus II. In addition she teaches Humanites 124
The Ancient World, Humanities 414 The Individual in the Contemporary
Society, and MLA 560 The Nuclear Dilemma. She is an editor of
The Individual in the Contemporary World, the reader for
Hum 414, and has also coordinated 30 sections of that course for
the past four years. She received UNCA's Distinguished Teacher
Award in 1987.
