About our Chapter
The UNC Asheville chapter of NSCS was established in 2005. In the short time we have been on campus we have been very active and have won several awards including Most Influential Chapter on campus, presented by the NSCS national office, and the UNC Asheville Community Service Award.
Every semester we have lots of exciting ways members can become involved in the club, campus, and community. Fall 2007 events included an induction ceremony, game nights, movie nights, team building activities at the UNCA ropes course, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, adopting local Head Start children and orphans in Afghanistan, learning self defense, cleaning up Reed Creek on the UNCA campus, and a cupcake party celebrating NSCS's half birthday.
