Psych Night-this Wednesday from 6-11. We are playing Benny
and Joon and would love if everyone came out to support this
event. We need some more volunteers from 6-8 to help with
ink blots, quizzes, and handing out drinks. REMEMBER: There
will be FREE PIZZA & DRINKS and it is a PAL EVENT. So
everyone should definitely be a part of it.
Psi Chi Inductions- FREE FOOD. This Thursday 12:30-1:30 in
the Lotus room (CH 208).
Chocolate Sale-4/22. 12-3 in HSU. We need people to bake
chocolate things for this event. If you bake something, it
would be helpful to put your items in plastic baggies or
saran wrap, so more people will be willing to buy them. If
you want to bake something, get in touch with Ashley and she
will tell you who to bring them to.
Luncheon- For the graduating seniors and professors of
psychology. We need people to help with making food for
them. This will be on 4/29 from 12-1:30. If you are a
graduating senior, please come. This is for you!
Elections-for next year. If you are interested in becoming
an officer for Club Psych/Psi Chi, this is your chance.
There is a sign up sheet on the club psych board in CH.
*You DO NOT need to be a psych major in order to be in club
psych.* Its great experience and gives you a chance to work
with the best club on campus....This will be happening on
4/30 from 12:30-1:30. Oh! FREE FOOD!!
Our next meeting: 4/28 at 5:30 in CH 242B. If you have any
interest in becoming active in the club next year, this is a
good one to come to. We are going to be getting ready for
events in the fall, so please come and support Psi Chi/Club
Psych.

T-SHIRTS: We will be having a T-shirt sale this Thursday, 4/3 in
CH lobby, to sell Psych Dept shirts. I'm sure you have heard us
talk about them before, but they have Psych pick-up lines on the
back of them and they are moss green. They are awesome and only
$10! So, it would be great if you could support these clubs and
get a shirt out of it. Also, if you don't make it to the sale,
you can always contact one of the officers or Susan (CH 224B)
and we can get you one.
FUNDRAISER: 4/22-We are planning on doing a bake sale type of
thing on this day. We are focusing on a baked chocolate goods
theme. So if anyone would be willing to either bake/buy
something for this, please let us know!
WEBSITE: Check out our website and let Ashley Molin know if you
have any ideas or suggestions for it!
SOC: Student Organization Counsel. From 4-8 In the HSU Grotto.
This is a leadership training event, so if anyone is interested
in becoming an officer for ANY club, you might want to
participate. We will have officers there, but it would be great
if anyone else wanted to come.
*There will be free food!
BUDGET: We will be turning in our budget on 4/10-if anyone wants
to help research/has any ideas than let either Ashley or Simone
know!
FACULTY LUNCHEON: 4/24, 12:30-2ish. We have decided to make 2
Indian dishes (one vegetarian and non). We are planning about
50 people attending. What we need from you guys is desserts,
drinks, and dressings. If anyone would be willing to purchase
something that would be terrific. Remember this is for your
professors and graduating seniors. So, it would be great to
give them a good lunch.
SERVICE: 4/12 10-12. I know Simone has sent you guys an e-mail
about this. But we are going to be picking up trash in order to
give back to the community. The program is called "Taking Out
Papers and Trash". So if anyone can help out that Saturday
morning, let Simone know!
ELECTIONS: 4/30 12:30 in the Lotus room-CH208. There will be at
least 4 spots open, but anyone is able to run for anything. If
you want to be an officer for Psi Chi you must be in Psi Chi
before the end of this semester. If you are running against
another person, then be prepared to defend yourself and your
reasons why you should be in that position.
PSYCH NIGHT: 4/16 6-10 *PAL Event* We are going to have the
Myers Briggs, straight jacket, ink blots again. We are also
going to add some other personality type quizzes. FREE FOOD AND
DRINKS! Oh, and we are watching Benny & Joon! Volunteers are
needed, especially in advertising.
SUMMER: Two of our officers are going to be talking throughout
the summer in order to get dates together for the following fall
semester. So, if you want to a part of that, then get in touch
with Ashley or Simone.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS
TO HELP WITH PSYCH NIGHT FROM 6-8. If anyone can help, please
send Simone (Kendra) an e-mail. Any help will be greatly
appreciated.
T-shirts are going to come in early April sometime! So be on
the look-out for a sign-up sheet for them. They are only $10,
greenish gray, and have psychology pick-up lines on it. If you
pre-ordered a shirt for $15, you will be able to get your $5
reimbursed after they have come in.
If you can't help out with Psych night, please try and come out
to it! We are going to have a lie detector, straight jacket,
girl interrupted quizzes, personality tests, and inkblots. It'll
be a great time! |
