| A very short history of RUF at UNC-A |
|
Reformed University Fellowship is a college ministry that began in the early 1980's
under the leadership of the Presbyterian Church in America. In 1994, Berry Stubbs, assistant pastor at Covenant
Reformed Presbyterian Church, began this ministry at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
Since Covenant Reformed is located
on the edge of the university campus, this was a logical choice. It had humble beginnings because of the other popular christian ministries
and the fact that not many people had heard about RUF before. But due to God's grace and sovereignty, the ministry has grown along with
the church. Since Berry has taken a leave of abscence for one year, John Larson will be leading RUF ministry at UNC-A for this year. |
