

Jennifer Martin is a life long United Methodist with a passion for ministries with young people and alternative worship leadership. She has experience on local, district, conference, and jurisdictional levels and especially enjoys working with young adults, helping them find and use their God-given gifts.
In addition to her work with UMCM, Jennifer is the Alternative Worship Coordinator
for First United Methodist Church in Waynesville, NC and Confirmation Coordinator for the Intentional Growth Center at Lake Junaluska. Jennifer served as Assistant Director of the Southeastern Jurisdictional Ministries with Young People, Interim Director, and Associate
Director of SEJ Discipleship Ministries at Lake Junaluska Assembly from August 1999
through August 2005.
Jennifer has directed workshops for local churches, districts, and special events on Alternative Worship and guided SEJ summer staff in planning multi-sensory worship experiences. She is a founding member of Kadasha, the SEJ Worship Team responsible for Praise Services at Lake Junaluska and worship training retreats.
Jennifer co-authored The Kadasha Workbook: Experiential Worship for the Next Generation with Chris Hughes in 2001. She recorded and assisted with production on several worship CD’s and produced numerous publicity and mini-documentary videos for the Southeastern Jurisdiction.
She was married in May 2007. Her husband, Ned Martin is Outreach Coordinator and Crisis Counselor for AHOPE homeless day shelter in Asheville.
Jennifer has a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Education from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Appalachian State University.
