WNC-Hillel seeks to provide a community for Jewish life on campus. We welcome both Jewish and non-Jewish members, and strive to provide our students with the Jewish tradition and support they would have at home. We also seek to raise awareness of Jewish life and culture on our campus, where Judaism is a religious minority. As based upon the values of the statewide North Carolina Hillel we are seeking to create a pluralistic and welcoming environment, foster student growth and the balance in being distinctively Jewish and universally human, and advance tzedek (social justice), Jewish learning, and spirituality.
**Since many Jewish holidays come at times of the school year when we are all busy WNC Hillel offers Home Hospitality. Families in the community open their household to students for Holiday meals. WNC Hillel will help connect you with families for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Passover and any other holiday that you would like.
